What We Need:
To facilitate and accelerate the aggressive growth that RCA is experiencing, we are seeking both full-time and part-time Clinical Coordinators that provide clinical leadership, management and supervision while providing quality patient-centered care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in accordance with RCA’s mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of clinical services during evenings and weekends, including assisting with staffing and scheduling. This position will have direct oversight for all clinical staff working on the units during their assigned shift.

What You’ll Do:
● Ensure a safe supportive environment for patients, staff and visitors.
● Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care delivered to all patients. This includes being responsible for ensuring effective communication between the nurse, the patient, supervisors, physicians, and all other departments.
● Model, provide and promote excellent customer service with clear and concise communication for all internal and external customers and staff.
• Use clinical assessment skills accurately, assessing each patient’s psychosocial safety and educational needs.
• Consistently identify program needs resulting from staff and patient input, as well as from direct observations.
● Appropriately, and in a timely manner, document all interactions with clients into the medical record to ensure continuity of services.
● Make regular patient rounds and anticipate patient needs and problems.
• Facilitate crisis de-escalation sessions with patients as needed.
• Provide information on employee job performance and participate in the employee evaluation process.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to all clinical staff on the shift.
● Ensure the follow through of scheduled programming by assigning specific tasks and responsibilities to clinical staff.
• Participate in programming by providing individual and group counseling.
● Communicate with inter-disciplinary departments, including admissions and nursing, regarding new admissions, as well as share clinical observations on unit to ensure a collaborative treatment approach.
● Participate in verbal shift reports and document necessary events.
• Oversee supervision of visiting hours, 12 step meetings, and other guest events.
• When an incident occurs during the second shift, perform employee counseling and communicate all incidents to the Chief Clinical Officer.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:
● Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field preferred.
• Two years of supervisory clinical experience in a health or human service agency
● Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
● Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
● Proven ability to prioritize immediate needs.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
● Exhibits excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, visitors, families and referral sources.
