Responsibilities

• Planning, directing, evaluating and coordinating clinical services for the treatment center
• Fully implementing the Gateway Clinical Curriculum and evidence based practices (EBP)
• Evaluating clinical and milieu treatment and developing and implementing improvement and training plans as needed
• Providing skilled clinical supervision and education to all counselors, the milieu staff and the utilization management (UM) staff
• Ensuring continuity and consistency with day-to-day programming and functioning and culture of all clinical services
• Providing individual and group supervision to all staff that carry a caseload
• Supervising treatment planning, individual, group and family therapy, and discharge planning
• Serving as a liaison to the Admissions and Nursing departments
• Working in conjunction with the Executive Director to provide state of the art clinical services, programming and therapy
• Serving on the Gateway Clinical Council and other work groups as needed within the organization

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in counseling, mental health, psychology, or related discipline
• Current licensure as an independent professional counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist in the state of Delaware
• Minimum 7 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders with a minimum of 2 years of concurrent management experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) options and current evidence based practices
• High-level of interpersonal & communication skills as well as analytical & critical thinking abilities
