SCHEDULE/LOCATION: This position works out of Milford, DE. Hours are typically 8am-4pm Monday-Friday with occasional evening hours and/or weekends depending on referrals.
Summary of Position
The Family Therapist/Case Manager is primarily responsible is as therapist to assigned clients. The DFS Program is a cooperative effort with the Division of Family Services to provide evaluation, case management and liaison services to DFS clients. The Family Therapist/Case Manager is responsible for providing quality, sufficient and appropriate clinical services and for maintaining high professional standards.
Core Functions - Knowledge Areas
Substance abuse treatment principles, standards and best practices for men and women.
Community resources.
Drug and alcohol treatment principles and clinical practices, standards and best practices.
Mental health.
Responds to urgent or emergency situations in a way that minimizes trauma to the client and staff members and results in stabilization.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science or related field REQUIRED
Master's degree in Behavioral Science or related field PREFERRED
Certification/Licensing:
CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) preferred
CCDP (Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional) preferred
LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) preferred
LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred
