Residential Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisors are responsible for:

• Performing duties of a Counselor (for 60% or more of work time).
• Supervising counselors and clinical support staff, and guiding and directing activities and operations of assigned treatment program.
• Planning and scheduling work time and assigning caseload and audits client records and documentation.
• Serving as a resource to assigned staff in identifying and resolving complex cases.
• Responsible for orienting, training and developing assigned staff.
• Assisting in developing policies and procedures, interpreting and enforcing the same.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field required
• Current professional certification or license (CADC, CCS, or LCSW) in the state of Delaware required
• 3 -5 years of clinical experience in the treatment of substance abuse
• Related work experience with an adult population and residential treatment setting required
• This is a full-time position with rotating shifts, including weekend and evening hours
