Certification Information

All requirements and fees are listed in the applications posted below. Each category contains the applications of the corresponding credentials.

Applications submitted via pictures/images are not permitted. All applications may be scanned and emailed to the office only as PDF files.

Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC)
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

Addiction Counselor credential that is international in scope and reciprocal, and meets the state staffing requirements.

Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS)

This classification is for the professional who facilitates and promotes positive growth in self, specific populations (i.e. groups at risk developing drug and alcohol problems), and the community at large. This professional uses specific knowledge and skills to design, implement and evaluate programs aimed at precluding or reducing problems caused by the use of alcohol and other drugs. This is an international credential that is recognized throughout the world via reciprocity

Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS)

This credential is for the alcohol and other drug abuse clinical supervisor. This is an international credential that is recognized throughout the world via reciprocity.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)

Professional credential for those providing recovery support services.

Certified Supervisor of Peer Specialist (CSPS)

Certification for Supervisor's of Peer Specialists who do not already hold the CPSS.
