We are currently seeking a senior leader to serve as Program Director for our innovative Recovery Response Center in Ellendale, Delaware.
Recovery Innovations was awarded a contract by the Delaware Department of Substance Abuse and Mental Health to provide a 23-hour walk in crisis and emergency center serving two counties in southern Delaware, under a Department of Justice settlement to reduce institutionalization and provide community-based alternatives.
The service framework we use for this program is our no-force-first model of crisis response we call Recovery Response Center where those served are guests in our Living Room receiving overnight hospitality by a team that includes peers who share the message of hope and recovery. Our multi-disciplinary team includes psychiatry, nursing, mental health, and peer support working as a team to start or restart recovery for each guest. The Center serves and average of 150 guests per month and has had a significant impact on reducing emergency room psychiatric boarding has demonstrated an unprecedented reduction in hospitalization.

Responsibilities

The position classification for Program Director is our Recovery Services Administrator. Consistent with the Recovery Innovations organizational model the Program Director is the business owner, working in partnership with the Recovery Innovations Regional Vice President and National Leadership Team members. The Program Director will manage all aspects of the Recovery Response Center including business and administration, recovery and clinical services, community development, and accreditation, licensing and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed in Delaware or eligible for a Delaware license (Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, etc.)
• Minimum of ten (10) years of behavioral health experience that includes community mental health, acute care, and crisis response. Preference for work experience that includes a strong recovery focus.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a supervisor or manager in a behavioral health setting. Preference for experience working with Peers.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a director or manager of a major program in a community mental health setting.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Successful background check clearances.
• By contract, this position requires the candidate be approved by the Delaware State Mental Health Director.
